This is the 1st ever North American compilation for the man who, though his own recordings and his Hillbilly Central recording studio in Nashville, had more to do with starting the outlaw country movement than anybody else (that includes Waylon n Willie)! We ve put together a 24-track compilation that covers three labels and 15 years of recordings, from the early, close-harmony hits of the Glaser Brothers to Tompall s seminal, mid- 70s solo work and beyond. Grammy-winner Colin Escott contributes notes to a CD that belongs in every self-respecting country music library. A Collectors Choice Music release!

Absolutely great - I m generally not a big fan of country music, but this is a CD I will play again and again. The quality of Tompall s voice is addictive. The instrumentation is first rate. The choice of songs is excellent. On most CD s, I tend to skip through some of the songs that I really don t care for... but not on this CD. I will definitely look for more of Tompall s music.

My father-in-law was thrilled! - Bought this for my father-in-law for Christmas and he was very happy! Great price for a hard to find album!

Very Good CD - Here is an artist who deserves a little more recognition. Tompall Glaser is usually associated with the so-called Outlaw movement of the late- 70 s, this seems to detract from the great voice that he posesses. Tompall s voice can be easily confused with his greatest influence, none other than Marty Robbins. But, while Tompall is the most famous of his band of brothers, there are only 6 songs on this 24 track Cd which are true Tompall solos. I can t say that I am a great fan of the Glaser Bros. early sound, as they sound much more folk than country....in fact, a few of the early tracks on this album are pretty dry and boring. Still, the music provided here are well produced and the sound is great. Overall, I give the album a B, and recommend it without reservation.

Awesome CD!!! - Excellent from start to finish. My mom heard it, and loved it as well. I knew it would be good. Enjoy just about everything I have of Jim Glaser. Great talent here!

I missed them the first time around - A few years ago I found a cassette with a familiar song title but unfamiliar group at a local thrift shop and took a chance and bought it. That was my introduction to Tompall Glaser and the Glaser Brothers. I absolutely loved it and have been looking for others since. I was thrilled to find this CD a couple of years ago and have enjoyed it immensely ever since. I don t know where I was when they were active in the 70 s and 80 s, but I am sure enjoying them now. Their distinctive voices and wonderful harmonies are a delight to the ear.
